Since summer is always upon us in sunny Southern California, the temptation to bask in the sun is powerful. As you know, a little bit of sun can go along way to build your immunity, so I felt it necessary to share some of the latest research on sun-safe skin care.

Those of you who have been to my lectures on skin, know that I come from a place of neglect and regret. 

Throughout my teens, 20's and even into my early 30's, I repeatedly over exposed my skin to those damning UVA's.

I've spent the better part of the last two decades trying to reverse, remediate and remove the damage done. I've thrown myself into all things skin: starting from the food to the facial and everything in-between and beyond. That being said, to save you from all the hard research I've given you four face saving tips that I swear by.

Bolster your natural sunblock by eating and supplementing with the following:

Tomatoes – Lypopene, the carotenoid found in tomatoes has been shown in a recent study to protect humans against sun damage.

Wild Salmon and Shrimp – Contains Astaxanthin, an antioxidant that is gaining some attention as an internal sunscreen.

Vitamin D 3 – Check your levels with your doctor to see how much you need.

Omega 3's – High-quality supplements.
